Holidays on Madeira (part 1)

At the beginning of June I spent a week on Madeira. The first day after arrival to this beautiful island was supposed to be relaxing so we could rest after whole night travel from Prague to Funchal, which is the capital of Portugal’s Autonomous Region of Madeira. And since Madeira is known as an island of flowers and it shouldn’t have suprised me that we spent most of the first day in two botanical gardens.

In the morning, just after breakfast, I simply had to see the view from the sundeck of our hotel and took few photos, mostly of the northern part of Funchal which looked the most interesting at the moment.

And then came the flowers…
